I met Miriam Wavinya, Founder and CEO of Cocomac Raw Organics, a while back. Her sister Rachel Nguli is a great friend of ours and had recommended her to Shop Nanjala.
Wavinya had interesting products in some unlabeled glass jars. I recall the first product I bought was Shea Butter. I took 3 bottles for Christmas 2016 and gave them to my friends and family as gifts. They were a hit.
Then, let’s just say, the rest was history!
Her needs were basic. She needed a logo design for her brand and packaging. Since she was a small startup, we decided to figure out a payment plan model that would work for her. An identity, colour palette, 8 different sets of wrapper packaging were developed in a span of a year and today we are proud to introduce some of Cocomac Raw Organics products.

These and more were designed to suite her brand which goes to great lengths at producing only the best beauty and hair care products from naturally sourced raw products. We are retailing her products at Shop Nanjala. Not only are their products safely produced by certified USD community groups but by buying her reasonably priced products, the funds are helping marginalized artisan communities Migori in Kenya and Uganda where their raw materials are naturally found and sourced.

Wavinya has since quit her full time job and is now focused on building her brand with scientists and researchers at KEPHIS and KIRDI.
