This fruit seedlings will come to bear bunches of plantain bananas. This fruit seedling will bear fruit after about thirteen to fifteen months. In Africa the starchy fruit is almost always cooked—boiled, fried or roasted—and is also dried and milled into flour for porridge, cakes and even chips. Large leaves are traditionally used for thatching or wrapping food, and the leaf stalks (petioles) yield a strong, fine fiber used for cordage and weaving.

Outdoor planted care: Plant in full sun into the ground or into at least get it in our Terracotta Super Large Pot in well draining soil. Water thoroughly throughout the first year.
